ILA operates group homes that
create a safe, home environment that offers developmental opportunities
for each consumer.
Design
We design our group homes to blend with the surrounding community.
Each home has a well-appointed kitchen, dining facilities, bedrooms
and recreation and relaxation areas. Consumers share a bedroom,
or in some cases, have a bedroom of their own. Maintenance staff
keeps our homes in peak condition, and the grounds are professionally
landscaped.
Staff
ILA homes afford individuals the opportunity to
realize a normal home life. To accomplish this goal, we staff the
home with highly qualified direct-care personnel 24 hours a day,
7 days a week. At each home, we deploy a team of professionals that
includes a program supervisor, assistant supervisor, service coordinator,
nurse, psychologist, and other specialists. These professionals
collaborate to successfully develop and monitor activities that
result in the achievement of valued outcomes.
We maintain an extensive on-call emergency response
system that includes executive administrators, physicians, nurses,
and maintenance staff.
Programs
Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs)
ICFs address the needs of individuals whose disability severely
limits their ability to be independent. ICFs provide a residential
treatment option in the community for persons with specified medical
and/or behavioral needs. ICFs provide 24-hour, on-site assistance
and training, including:
- intensive clinical and direct care services
- professionally developed and supervised activities
- various physical, psychological, and medical and therapies
Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs)
IRAs provide customized residential opportunities for individuals
whose unique abilities and challenges require greater flexibility.
Our service coordinators work closely with program participants
to ensure that their home environment and the entire constellation
of services they receive enable them to develop their skills. Services
include:
- service coordination
- residential habilitation
- medical surveillance
- linkage to all clinical, social, and recreational services
