Direct Care Counselor (Part Time)
Responsibilities
• Provides all aspects of direct care service to the developmentally disabled individuals in the residence.
• Communicates with and motivate consumers in implementing treatment plans.
• Monitors and records goals and objectives for consumers.
• Works with consumers in activities of daily living and in developing self-help and social skills.
• Participates in recreational activities with consumers.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 6-12 months experience working with the developmentally disabled preferred (ILA is willing to train the right candidate who does not meet this qualification).
• Valid Drivers License required.


Residence Supervisor (Full Time)
Responsibilities
• Plans and supervises the day-to-day operations of the residence.
• Oversees and directs the assistant supervisor.
• Ensures safety and sanitation in the residence and adequacy of support services, including vendors and suppliers.
• Supervises direct care staff, cooks, and maintenance.
• Coordinates various treatment modalities including medical, recreation, speech, psychology, and activities of daily living, services.
• Implements Agency’s policies and procedures.
• Ensures that adequate trainings and supervision are completed as per OMRDD standards.
Qualifications
• B.A. in Human Services, Business Administration or Psychology required.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience with the developmentally disabled preferred.
• Valid Drivers License required.


Assistant Residence Supervisor (Full Time)
Responsibilities
• Collaborates with the Residence Supervisor in household management.
• Manages the food and petty cash accounts.
• Monitors client medication needs.
• Maintains open communication with the consumers’ day program.
• Assigns staff as necessary for 24-hour coverage.
• Supervises and motivates staff to ensure smooth operations at the residence.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience working with the developmentally disabled (supervisory experience preferred).
• Valid Drivers License required.


Registered Nurse (Full Time or Part Time)
Responsibilities
• Coordinates medical care services for all consumers in the residence.
• Coordinates annual physical examinations and monitors follow-up treatment.
• Reviews lab work, transcribes doctors’ orders onto medication sheets.
• Trains staff in first aid for accidents or illnesses.
• Trains staff in detecting signs of illness.
• Supervises consumer medication administration.
• Oversees all hospitalizations and emergency room visits.
• Completes Annual Nursing Summary and Service Plan for each consumer.
• Participates in continuing interdisciplinary team meetings and evaluations for each consumer.
Qualifications
• A.S. in Nursing required.
• B.S. in Nursing preferred.
• Current State license as a Registered Nurse required.
• 2-3 years experience as an RN required.
• Experience in an Individualized Residential Alternative for the developmentally disabled preferred.

Psychologist/ABSS (Full Time)
Responsibilities
• Develops and provides psychological services to developmentally disabled adults.
• Assesses annually individual residents psychological functioning and makes recommendations to IDT.
• Assesses annually adaptive functioning through the use of standardized materials.
• Writes reports and participates in each consumer’s quarterly review.
• Develops behavior modification program to address defined individual needs, enhance pro-social behavior, and eliminate maladaptive behavior.
Qualifications
• M.A. in Psychology
• Strong background in applied behavioral theory
• 2-5 years experience in mental retardation and developmental disabilities


Case Manager (Part Time)
Responsibilities
• Develops consumers’ individual service plan.
• Maintains accurate case records and accurate records of contacts.
• Works with consumers’ families, outside providers, and resources to obtain quality services.
• Assesses and conducts quality assurance monitoring for all services.
• Monitors client services.

Qualifications
• B.A. in Human Services required.
• Experience in mental retardation and developmental disabilities preferred.


Cook (Part Time)
Responsibilities
• Prepares nutritious meals for consumers according to the planned menu and individual dietary needs.
• Prepares food in appropriate quantities to avoid accumulation of leftovers.
• Monitors food supplies and inventory of food items.
• Maintains a sanitary and orderly kitchen, dining room, and storage area.
• Ensures correct and appropriate storage of food items.
• Trains consumers on basic nutritional information and cooking skills.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience in the culinary field preferred (New York State health sanitation certificate helpful).


Maintenance Worker (Part Time)
Responsibilities
• Maintains cleanliness and general upkeep of the residence.
• Cleans bedrooms, bathrooms, and offices daily.
• Performs minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Sweeps, mops, waxes, and buffs all floors as required.
• Removes garbage daily.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Drivers License required.
• 1-3 years experience as a handyman preferred.
